I have spent the last hour trying to find where I can download the printer driver for my Canon TR8500. I am using an Apple MacBook Air, running on Apple macOS Monterey (12.4). It doesn't seem like it should be this hard to find drivers.
Supposedly Apple already has the printer drivers built in, but when I try to install the printer, it doesn't list Canon as a valid printer.

I believe that in macOS 12 the TR series printers are AirPrint; there is no Canon driver.
Try selecting the "+" icon button in Printers & Scanners to add the printer and see what happens.
