Hello,
My Canon App isn't working on my Chromebook it's installed but everytime I try to open it and or access my wireless Canon Pixma 8520 it closes immediately. This issue just started usually I'm able to connect wireless. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled as Google said but I'm still unable to connect. Is there a diffeent software that I need download along with the app?

Good morning and Happy Easter!!!
I have the Canon pixma TR8520 I connect thru wifi, I use a HP Chromebook with google Chrome OS. Version 89.0.4389.116 (Official Build) (64-bit). Its not showing any errors just won't connect. COuld it be a software issue? Are any other software's that I need to download.

With a bit more research and determination, I figured how to print from my Chromebook! Yay me! I unfortunately didn't know that I had to connect my printer to the Chromebook itself without necessarily going thru the app. Thank you, for your assistance.
Although I still have the same issues with the app. Will it cause issues in the future? Should I proceed with caution when going thru the app? Do I even need the app, if I'm connected directly to the printer?

I'm having the same issue. I have a Canon Pixma MG3620 with a HP Chromebook OS version 100.0.4896.82. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but whenever I try to open it, it looks like it's opening and then closes right away.
