black does not print on MG3120. have done all recommended troubleshooting

I have replaced black ink cartridge but machine does register it. still shows no black ink. black ink light not on. cleaned and deep cleaned heads and test prints DOES show black. but it will not PRINT black. color works fine. any ideas on how to fix?

Hello fgetchell,

 

Be sure you have the "BK" section of the nozzle check pattern.  Here is what a complete pattern looks like:
