Unable to install Cannon MG2950S on Windows 7 Laptop

Hi,

I have been trying over 12 hours now to solve this issue, but still not joy. I just purchased a Cannon MG2950S and tried to install it. It failed without a reason many times, both via USB and wireless. Whenever I insert the USB it registeres the scanner but fails to install the printer. I am running the self extracting .EXE downolad file as administrator, and I have tried the driver installer, and the full installer which connects to the internet. I have updated Windows, disabled all non windows startup items and disabled firewalls. Recently when attempting to install over wireless through the printers access point function I recieved the following error in a window called MP Drivers: an error occoured while files were being coppied: 0205 0049

I have tried to install this many times now, removing the previous installation each time. I have checked my group policies for printers and they are not set, I disabled it anyway to be sure. I have cleaned the registery, checked for viruses and even updated the usbprint file in the system folder (which I have reverted back again after it did not work.) I have tried adding a printer in printers and devices but it fails. It is the CannonMG2900 series drivers (in that exact format) which fails on insertion of the USB.

I am running out of options now, I have tried the device on another windows machine (Vista) and it worked fine. I have in the past installed a Cannon MG2450 which worked perfectly. Please can you assist me in solving this issue? Thanks.
