My printer worked fine for several years but now every time I try to print, it enters "pause" mode. Opening the printer queue and selecting restart doesn't help.
Any ideas?

What version of Windows is installed on your computer? If you are using a Mac, what version of OSX is installed?
Are you using your PIXMA TS8120 wirelessly? or with a USB cable?

Thank youf or geting back to me.
I am using Windows 10 and connected wirelessly to the printer. The printer is about 12 inches from the hotspot.
After poking around, I noticed that my COntrol Panel had in some but not all its screens 2 copies of the printer showing. I then removed the printer and reinstalled it. It is working now.
