The print head alignment does not work on my MP495

Everytime I click on the Print Head Alignment under the Canon MP495 series Printer Properties and the print does not complete.  It stops and I get a P03.  All the other maintenance functions work except the Print Head Alignment.

Hi thewilson2004,

 

Please remove and reseat the ink cartridges in the printer to try and resolve the issue.  Next, please turn off the printer, unplug the power cord and leave it out for at least 10 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it back on, then attempt the alignment again.
