I am trying to install my new cannon TS5120 printer on my Mac. I get an error message when trying to print test page of printer not connected. How do I fix this? I have the version High Sierra 10.13.6.

Hi markay61,
This model uses drivers supplied by Apple, so let's delete and re-add the printer.
Click on the Apple logo in the upper left of your screen.
Select "System Preferences."
Select "Printers and Scanners."
Highlight the TS5100 series on the left side and click the "-" sign in the lower left.
Confirm the deletion.
Click the "+" sign in the lower left.
Select “Add Printer or Scanner.”
Select the "Bonjour Multifunction" connection type (May take a moment to appear.)
Press "Add."

I added the printer as described below. Printer now says idle.
