TR8520 keeps faxing

obxpavsr
Apprentice

Hello!

Looking for a permanent solution to a persistant problem:

Each day begins with the printer sending jobs to FAX... Regardless of the "TR8520 Printer" selected.

Once the printer and all assoociated drivers, software are removed and reinstalled, all is well for the balance of the day. (This has been accomplished three times)

Any help would be greatly appriciated! -obxpavsr

Hello Arthur J,
A workaround has been successful. Connecting via bluetooth has provided a reliable method for connecting to the printer.

The printer is attached to the network wireless. Pish button WPS was used to make the connection.

No error message are presented at anytime. Printer is a Pixma TR8520, firmware ver 1.100

The "FAX only" problem presents itself when printing from any application: ie Word 2016, Adobe Pro DC, on our Lenovo laptop, on Windows 10 Home, Ver1809, build 1776.437. Problem is not manifest when using iOS devices.
