TR8520 Clicking Noise

Rdal

My TR8520 printer makes loud clicking sounds when the print heads cycle. Also it will not print color. No error codes showing.

Greetings,

Not exactly sure whats happening from your description.

A print head doesn't "cycle" and any clicking inside the printer is not normal.

When was the last time you used your printer?

Suggest you perform a Nozzle Check Pattern

Front panel : Gear icon > Tools (menu) > Maintenance > Print Nozzle check pattern

If any of the lines are missing, you should perform a Cleaning.  Same options above, except "Cleaning" instead of Check Pattern.

Clicking might mean something is broken, binding, not aligned or seated correctly.  (while somethng is moving or indexing)

If clicking is ocurring when the ink tanks and head are stationary, I woud assume the print head was clogged or damaged.
