Support Code 1240

The operation panel window on my Canon TS8220 printer shows " Support Code 1240. The operation panel is closed. Open the operation panel. OK" When I click OK and open the panel the window mesage does not change.Ditto on restart. How do I get back to the home window?

I open the panel on my TS9150 and take outthe paper tray and still the Support Code 1240 shows.

I see this problem has been encountered by other people.   How do I solve it ?

Hi, I have tried to lift the operation panel sooo many times and still repeating 1240 error code. Can anyone please help!? I have a Canon ts5150
