Re: My Canon Pixma G4210 prints green.

I can not figure out how to submit a new question, so I am tagging onto this one.

My Pixma G4210 prints only in green.

I have filled the ink tanks with Canon ink

I have deep cleaned twice.

It stays green, even when trying to print documents in black.

Photos are abhorrent.

The Canon support site will not help; they indicate that this model, at 2 years old, is extinct and I have to get support from the website.

So here I am.

If I "sound" frustrated, well, I am.

If you can help, please do. Or I shall dump this printer in a landfill and buy a different brand.

I was able to get it to work. For others who have this problem- I did 4 deep cleans, to no avail. Then I did an ink flush, and that seems to have worked.

Thanks to all who tried to help.

What do you get when you print a nozzle check?

It does not look good.

Black vertical  s OK

All others vertically are a lght turquoise.

Black horizontal lines of rectangles seem OK.

Blue horizontal lines seem OK

No pink at all

Yellow is barely discernible.

Thanks fo responding!

Have you tried running a deep cleaning? (Sorry - I just re-read your earlier post)

You should give Canon a call at 1-800-OK-CANON.

I deleted it from my computer Then used Bluetooth to discover it. When it did it showed 2 Canons. I tried the 3nd one which had some extra numbers after it installed it and problem solved

It was the 2nd one sorry

What is an "ink flush?"  How is that done?

My 2 year old Pixma G4210 printer/copier only prints in green. It is getting progressively darker. Much as I like the color green, this is horrible. It does not matter if I try to print a document in black and white, a photo in color  or copy anything. It all turns out green.

I use Canon ink, and refilled to see if that would help. It did not help.

I deep cleaned 3 times to see if THAT would help; it did not help.

I aligned the print head (I know that wouldn't cause green, but I tried everything.)

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
