Printer not connected code

PIXMA TS 6020  on a MAC os 10-13.6

Up till yesterday i had to turn my printer on BEFORE i stared my computer.if not I would get not connected notice, now thats all i get. if I bring up the printer pop up screen and click on Scanner it works.and i get a scanned image??

  And i am not very computer savvy
