Please help. My cartridges are not lighting up after I installed them. Thanks, Ivana

My new cartridges are not lighting up and consequently I am getting the error code 1401.  Please someone help me fix this issue.  Thanks.

Thank you Christa for your reply.  I was able to solve my problem this morning with a Techsupport agent from Canon over the phone.  I needed to install the printer ink-head first, which I was unaware of.  Once, the agent walked me thru step by step I was able to install all cartridges and it's been working great.  Thanks you all.  Ivana
