PixmaMG6820 ORANGE LIGHT

WE recently moved and we moved the printer super carefully. We only had to move less than 5 miles. Nothing was placed on top of the printer and it was kept safe. When we went to set up the printer, only the orange light comes on. Nothing with the screen. We even did not plug it into the back of the compter tower first just like the intial set up said to. We cannot get the home screen to come on, we even tried it in different outlets. I ve seen several post on here about powering off canon printers and they just die for no reason, the orange no power light is the ONLY light i can get to come on at this point. Please any advice?

Same here. Printer was not moved or touched. This concerns a PIXMA iX6820. Had a power outage and now, only a steady orange light. Have unplugged the printer and the USB. Let it sit for a while and plugged back in. Still just a steady orange light and neither of the buttons respond when pressed. Printer was never moved. Only a power outage. Sadly, a computer geek had a very simple solution for this. Unplug the printer and hold in the power button for 15 seconds. Plug it back in and everything was fine. Pressing the button for 15 seconds drains off any charge built up internally. Plugged it back in and eveything works normally. Maybe, if Canon cared, they would add this solution to their database.

The solution that may work for this is to unplug the printer. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Plug it back in and see if that has solved the problem. Solution came from a computer geek, not Canon.
