Pixma mx922 with code 1681 but only one of each cartridge

Just ran a deep cleaning of the pageblk cartridge and decided to change the magenta and cyan cartridges because they were showing low.  When I changed the cyan cartridge the code 1681 came up indicating I had two yellow cartridges installed.  Thinking the chip was bad I reinstalled the original cyan cartridge but the error still comes up and it won't let me print.

I recommend performing a reset of the printer. While the printer is on, unplug the power cord from the printer and let it sit for 60 seconds. While the power is off, press the power button 5 times. After 60 seconds plug the power cord back in and power on the printer.

 

If the error still wont clear, there is a hardware issue with the print head. If your printer is in the 1 year warranty, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666), Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM EST.
