Pixma mg7750 didn't work straight out of the box.

I had a MG7750 staying unused in its untouched box for about 3 years. I tried to set it up today, to no avail. It appears that it can't be powered on.

Pressing the ON/OFF button turns on the power light (little white one) , together with an orange triangle on the right-hand side of the printer. The display does not turn on and the printer is unresponsive. Also, the printer can't be powered off from the ON/OFF button. Pressing that button does nothing.

Other electric appliances work when powered from the same socket. Changing the power cord does nothing. Any help welcomed. Thank you.
