Pixma MX922 Support code 1403

Four year old printer with no problems.  I used it in the morning and it worked fine, later that day I tried to print and got Support Code 1403  "The type of print head is incorrect.  Install correct print head".  I've taken the print head in and out several times, cleaned it, replaced ink cartridges and still same error.  Help!

Since the error does not clear, the print head has experienced a hardware failure. Since the printer is our of warranty, you qualify for the Canon upgrade program.

 

This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.
