Pixma MP830 Resurrection not going well (not printing at all)

So, my MP830 was trusty and awesome, but sat in the basement for a couple years until recently.  I cleaned it up, installed new ink, but it appears that no amount of cleaning/deep cleaning will send ink of any color to the paper. 

 

Mechanically it seems everything is fine, including the connection and response to the laptop.

 

I re-seated the print head (without touching anything) and it seems like ink is making its way to the underside of that piece, but all of the test pages via the menu and test prints from the laptop yield blank pages. 

 

Is there another test or part I can review to ensure it's working?  This printer meets my meager need to print, and I would rather not invest in another if I can avoid it.  I realize a replacement isn't very expensive these days, but still.

Greetings,

Too bad you already bought inks.  The print head is likey clogged.  Manually cleaning it (with inks and head removed) is your only hope.

 

Honestly though, given its age, its time for a new printer.

Because performing multiple printhead cleanings did not get your PIXMA MP830 to print correctly, it would appear as though your PIXMA MP830 would require service.  You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program.  This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system.  This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.
