PIXMA TR4520

I recently purchased a Cannon PIXMA TR4520 and have a couple questions:

(1) When I try to register my product (Serial Number), I get an error message stating that, based on the number entered,  it was not meant for sale in the U.S. and that I must have misentered it.  I double/triple checked.  Any suggestions??

(2) When I try to scan to a PDF document, I first click on the button that looks like a scanner with the top open.   (Scan LocalUSP then appears).   I then click the "start/black" button.  A message appears sayng "Please wait a while".   Nothing happens after that.  So, HOW TO I SCAN TO PDF SO I CAN SAVE IT ONTO MY COMPUTER?

Hi cannonron,

The IJ Scan Utility can be used to scan.  To open this, please click on the Windows Start button in the lower left corner of your computer's screen.

In the menu that appears, click on the Canon Utilities folder.

In that folder, click on the IJ Scan Utility.

Click the Document button to scan and save your item as a PDF.
