I love my printer/scanner but I'm now receiving a message that the ink absorber is almost full. Canon no longer supports this printer. Is there a way to clean the ink absorber or do something so that my printer won't stop working when the ink absorber is full?

The type of service needed for this printer can only be performed by a Canon Authorized Service Facility (ASF). Please be advised that the MX870 was retired in 2015 and service is no longer available.
You do qualify for the Canon Upgrade Program.
