I just open a new pixma mp180 printer and soon as I power it on the power and alarm lights start flashing and the display reads "Scanner Error". The printer was not yet connected to any computer so its not a computer issue. So I installed the software on my iMac OSX 10.10.5 and was not able to get the printer to work.
