PIXMA MG 7120 will not print graphics

Good evening.

My MG7120 has been great - until the last few weeks.  It will not print graphics, photos, or coupons - it will only print text.  Powering down, unplugging, and restarting does not help.  The printer will hang for a bit, then eventually will spit out a paper with maybe 1" of printing and the remainder is a blank page.

Using Windows 10.  Any ideas?

Hello.

First, please make sure that the ink tanks are installed in the printer correctly and are in the correct order. The order from left to right is as follows:

CLI-251BK
CLI-251GY
CLI-251Y
PGI-250PGBK
CLI-251C
CLI-251M

Next, a test of the printer should be performed. This will tell us if the printer is working correctly. To do this, please load letter-sized paper in the PIXMA MG7120 and follow these steps:

1. Flick the HOME screen and then tap Setup.

2. Tap Maintenance.

3. Tap Print nozzle check pattern.

4. Tap Yes.

The Nozzle Check will print. Please compare your printout to the example that has been attached to this message. If they differ, please perform a few printhead cleanings.

To perform cleanings, please follow these steps:

1. Flick the HOME screen and then tap Setup.

2. Tap Maintenance.

3. Tap Cleaning.

4. Tap Yes to clean the printhead.

5. Tap Yes to print another Nozzle Check.

If there is improvement, try printing a graphic or photo to test the results.

Thanks for the reply.  Sadly that had no impact.

Does the fact that the printer lags for an extended period mean anything?  I've assumed that the size of the print job is causing the issue.  When I print a Word doc the printer prints immediately.  When I attempt to print graphics, the job sits for at least 2 minutes before attempting to print ...
