No ink coming out during printing and copying

wahlberger

I have a 6 year old MG5720 that evidently showed an error message my husband saw but doesn't remember and now it goes through the motions of copying, printing from the computer and even nozzle tests and deep cleaning without any ink on the page.  I have updated drivers, turned off both computer and printer, unplugged printer, performed all maintenence steps and still no ink.  Anyone else had and fixed this problem?  I hope someone can help.  Thanks in advance!

Hi wahlberger,

Please follow the steps provided in the link below to resolve this issue:

https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/ErrorCode/MG5700%20series/EN/ERR/err_ug_print01_0400.html

If your PIXMA MG5720 still does not print correctly after following the steps on that page, your PIXMA MG5720 would require service.  You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.

To help you get up and running quickly, we also offer free standard shipping (if the order is completed by 12:30PM ET). If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 seven days a week, 8am to Midnight. Let them know you have been working with technical support and the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.

Unfortunately, it seems your reply did not involve reading my message of concern.  It was of no help at all, except to say that the printer needs service.  Thank you anyway.
