NEED help with error code 6A81.

Can anyone explain what error code 6A81 on Canon Pixma MG5220 indicates. Tried all of the troubleshooting steps but nothing has worked. Unplugged it for 10 minutes and restarted but did not help. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I took all of the suggested steps and found no paper clog or fragment of paper clog. Unplugged unit, opened door and lifted top to access carriage and manually moved carriage fully left. Using mini-mag flashlight I used isopropyl alcohol on cotton swabs to clean ink residue from purge area and wipers and also pushed down on sponges to make sure they were not obstructing carriage movement. Removed a significant amount of residue. Plugged power cord back in and problem was resolved.

I also have a 6A81 error on my MG5220.  Upon inspection I couldn't find any foriegn debris, but I did find a little plastic armature that is popped up preventing the ink carriage from going all the way to the right side of the printer.  I have seen other pictures on the internet where the little lever is down so I figure this is the issue. I can't tell what the thing is for without tearing it apart though, let alone how to fix it. Any input from Canon would be appreciated.
