Print a nozzle check from the maintenance menu (located in "Setup", which can be found by clicking down 7 times after selecting the "Menu" button on the printer). Describe the page that prints. That should tell us if the printer is still printing color (in which case it is a setting somewhere that is preventing color), or whether the printer has lost the ability to print color.

The print out is in black only, shows error 2500 thankyou in advancd. Even when you try to make a copy, in color, its only black and white. The alignment request is blank.

Error 2500 means that the alignment pattern was not printed correctly, but the page I requested is the noizzle check, not the print head alignement.
In either case, it looks like the issue is with the printer if there is no color on a color copy. If you are in warranty, I'd call tech support. Otherwise you're probably looking at replacing the unit.
