My Image Garden does not enable scanner

rwood359

I just installed Ny Image Garden.  The printer is functional (MG6220), but the scanner is greyed out - not enabled.

Canon Navigator and my other photo editor recognize and use the scanner.

I have installed both the network and USB drivers to no avail.

Any suggestions?

I removed then reloaded all Canon software and Drivers............. Problem gone

I'm having the same problem. I originally downloaded the image garden driver and software to accomodate my new Canon MG5675 a couple of years ago. Up until a couple of weeks ago all was working well. Something went awry and I was unable to scan. Eventually in frustration, I deleted the software and downloaded it all again. The scanner function is shaded out though and I'm still unable to scan. Help!

Hi Phil1957,

Are you able to scan using the IJ Scan Utility?

Go to the Canon driver download site below (enter your printer):

https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/inkjet-multifunction/mx-s...

Select the printer driver and install: MX490 series Full Driver & Software Package (Windows)

After the driver was installed the scan was selectable and worked fine.
