MX922 Ink cartridges won't snap in correctly

The cartridges don't seem to snap in correctly anymore and therefore aren't recognized.  The cartridges seem loose and when I try to reload them or replace them with another cartridge I can tell they don't snap in correctly.  If I push them down, I get get the light to come on, but it malfunctions as soon as I close the cover.  What should I do?

Hi dvanetten,

 

Please try reseating both ink tanks and printhead.  Please follow the steps in this article to perform this:

If the ink tanks still will not stay seated, your PIXMA MX922 would require service.  You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.
