Here is what worked for me: 1. Turn OFF Power 2. Open the print head bay (as though you were about to change inks) 3. Turn ON power 4. Wait for print carriage to start moving to the left and let it go past half way 5. Before print carriage reaches left hand side (but after going halfway across) shut the cover. 6. Leave the Printer turned on 7. Good to go. It took 2 attempts before it worked. Some people said it took 3-4 attempts. Now, prior to this, I did clean the pads the cartridges sit on and used a qtip to wipe the encoder strip. I`m not sure if it was the combination of those things or just doing the fix.

I turned mine off when I got the error message in the morning.  Later in the afternoon, I read this solution and decided to try it after the machine had been off and unplugged for 4 hours.

When I looked at mine and it wasn't powered on  there was no OK button. (That's only on the electronic display screen.)  So I pushed the power button 5 times, the Black print button 5 times and the Color print button 5 times. (I felt like I should cross my fingers and throw salt over my shoulder, too)

But when I powered back up, it worked!

Getting the B200 code. Turned off, unplugged power . press o k  5 times . Didn't work, still get code.

Fix by buying a MX922 for about $65.

As of this date my printer is still functioning without any problems.

Hey, it works from first attempt.

Other method with 5  times OK does not in my case.

Thanks much.

Tommy

I tried all the methods posted here, nothing clicked, any clue?

Turn off printer

Disconnect from AC

Press OK button on printer 5 times

Reconnect AC

Turn on printer

If this does not work

Try  several more times

If it still does not work

Try again but do not turn on printer until next morning

This has worked for me twice so far.

Also you might try removing the print head and rinsing under hot water until water runs clear before you start the above proceedure.
