My MX887 will not scan to my computer. It will not even perform the scan itself. If I add in a USB, it will scan the document, but will then say it is unable to save the document to the USB device.
All othe functions of the printer work fine.

To try and resolve the issue when scanning to a USB device, please ensure that the device is not locked so that the data can be saved successfully. So we can better assist you with the issue being experienced when scanning to your computer, please reply with the following information:
1. What operating system do you have on your computer (version of Windows or Mac OS X)?
2. Is the printer connected wirelessly or via USB cable?
3. What error or message do you receive when trying to scan to the computer?
