MX452 WiFi Printer / Mixed Signal ??

Had endured some hiccups with our Printer which led to the Black Ink Cartridge actually out of Ink or at least it appears that way.. Since we discovered part of the problem were told could be drying up do to lack of use.. The Color side appears to be fine and not showing signs of about to run out.. Whether you engage the Printer from an iPad or Standing Physically at the Printer to run off a Copy.. The Low Black Ink message flashes on the Screen.. I just replaced the Black Ink Cartridge with a Fresh Cartridge..

I need some How To Help to Reset the Printer to Turn Off the low ink message.. Please & Thanks

Hi NorPlan,

When new ink cartridges are installed, the printer will automatically detect and update the ink levels; there is not a manual way of resetting the unit to recognize the levels of the new ink cartridge.

You can continue to use the printer even though it's not indicating that the ink cartridge is full.  When you get an error stating that the ink is empty, just take the ink cartridge out, turn the unit off, turn it back on, and place the ink cartridge back inside. It should then update the ink levels accurately.

Alternatively, if you have an cartridge that is actually empty, you may be able to put it in the printer so it recognizes the empty tank and provides the ink tank empty warning.  You would then replace it with the new ink cartridge and the printer should determine that it was replaced and provide a full ink level indication again.

You can slo disable the ink level detection function of the printer to remove the low ink warnings from displaying.  To do this, please press and hold down the STOP/RESET or RESUME/CANCEL button on the printer for at least 7 seconds, then release it.

Hope this helps!
