MP560 not scanning wirelessly through Canon tools

GVS

After upgrading to Windows 10, the MP560 scanner ability no longer functioned as it should. It prints wirelessly just fine. But when I try to scan from the scanner, it doesn’t recognize a PC. Only shows USB option.

When I try from Navigator I get the following error message:

  • Cannot communicate with scanner for these reasons:
  • -Scanner is turned off
  • -Scanner is disconnected
  • (It is disconnected from LAN, if using on LAN)

  • Please check and try again.
  • Scanner driver will be closed.

I got it working once (don’t recall how) for a couple of days but it is back to the same issue. In Navigator, when looking at product name, there is only one option: MP560 series (Network: 001E8f416C9A).

However, from Control PanelàDevices and Printers, I can right click on the printer, click start scan and it will scan.  Just not as nice and easy as from the printer/scanner itself or Navigator and there is no PDF output option.

Drivers were installed from Canon site.
