I have had a MP490 printer for some time and it was used with a late 2009-series iMac for several years. The computer died and I have just purchased a new iMac 2019 series running OS 10.14.4 Mojave. After talking to Apple Support, the print function works, but the scanner portion does not. Apple Support has turned me over to Canon, but per the Canon website, there are no drivers available for this version of OS. Any suggestions or assistance will be much appreciated.
The PIXMA MP490 is not supported with macOS v10.14. The MP490 was retired in 2016, and the last drivers and software offered for Mac OS were for v10.12.
