I get the message that it quit unexpectedly. It worked just fine in the past. The printer/scanner is a PIXMA MP490. My computer is a MacBook Air running Mojave 10.14. I checked to see if there was an updated driver on the Canon website and there isn't one. Is MP Navigator EX not supported by this operating system?
