MG5520 can't scan with OS X 10.9.5

Everytime I try to scan with my MG 5500, I get the message " " I have tried deconnecting and reconnecting both my printer and my computer to the internet. I have also tried to make my printer print something, and it won't do that either. It was working fine a week or so ago. Please help as soon as possible.

I have the same problem today it worked yesterday now there is no scan option I downloaded and reinstalled the driver same no scan option
