my canon MG5520 printer is now hooked up to new computer which has windows 10. Prints fine but when I try to scan as I did before I get this message "Set the PC to start scanning." I have no idea what this means. I did no have to do this on old windows program. is this printer compatible with Windows 10?

Hi SharonT46,
Your PIXMA MG5520 is compatible with Windows 10.
First, let's make sure that you can scan. To scan with your PIXMA MG5520, please follow these steps:
1. Click on the Windows Start button and select All Apps.
2. Select Canon Utilities, IJ Scan Utility and the click on IJ Scan Utility to open that program.
3. Click on the Auto button.
Are you able to scan?

I have tried the solution you recommended above and it does not correct the problem. The scanner still states "Set the PC for Scanning". I have run diag on the computer to update drivers etc all to no avail. Please advise.
