MG2922 Error 1000 No Paper even with paper in the tray

Hi, hoping someone can help. I had not used this printer in months, I was able to print the first page but the second page it said it was out of paper. I tried several sheets of paper in the tray and one sheet, still does the same thing, it makes three separate noises like it's looking for paper, about 1-2 seconds long each, then the error light starts flashing on the printer and I get error code 1000 on my computer. Similarly when I try and copy, it cycles through the same 3 noises and error light flashes.

Hi slo02e,

 

Please make sure that the paper is loaded in your PIXMA MG2922 using the steps outlined in the On Line Manual:

Once loaded, please attempt to print or copy with your PIXMA MG2922 again.
