My printer is awesome and it would always scan to my pc. For some reason, all of a sudden it no longer recognizes my pc. I use it a lot to scan to emails. When I reinstall the printer, it will scan as usual and then in a few hours or a day, it “forgets” it is connected. The printer works fine, prints. It will also scan to another connected laptop. There has never been a problem with it. Seems like some connection between the printer and the pc for scanning disconnects itself.
Thought/suggestions anyone? It is a real pain to reinstall the printer every day or so, especially when I’m in a hurry and need to get a document to someone.

A firewall program of some sort may be causing issues. Try temporarily disabling your firewall software to see if this will allow you to scan. If the issue persists, try restarting your computer and see if the unit will scan.
