Image Garden Scan Feature

jlkilcrease

I am new to using the "My Image Garden" software but I do not see, after having purchased the Canon Pixma Pro-100 and downloading the software on a Win7 PC and Win10 Laptop the Scan feature that is supposed to be just above "Photo Sharing Sites", per https://ugp01.c-ij.com/ij/webmanual/MyImageGarden/M/1.1/EN/MIG/mig-052.html and the manual for the printer. I do not know of any way to switch it on. It does not appear on either installation. I even tried looking for a Canon scan utility but no luck getting any to work. What's more is that I expected to, as a last resort, be able to scan via MS Paint or MS Scan or MS Fax and Scan but the Pro-100 does not show up as my printer

Any guidance for this beginner is most appreciated, also, if this is the wrong place to ask for help, I am listening (reading)..

Thank you.

ps. this was recently a post(now removed) I made at:

The Pro-100 is a printer.

It is not a scanner, and has no scanning ability.

The "My Image Garden" software is written for a variety of Canon Printer/Scanners and All In Ones.  Features / function depend on the model.
