IJ Scan Utility 2.3.4 for Mac OS Catalina

JCG

IJ Scan Utility 2.3.4  doesn't work properly for Mac OS Catalina. The first page of a document is correctly scanned, but scanning the second page yields the error message "Failed to open a session on the device" No driver is listed, for Canon MG3220.  When can we expect a working driver for this OS?

I have the same problem with a Lide220 Scanner and this worked so it may work for you.

THanks! Your solution worked even though my model was not listed as compatible.

I have this exact same problem for the IJ Scan utility using my MG5520. I've downloaded all of the latest print & scan drivers and the latest scan utility ... and applied all of the latest MacOS updates for MacOS Catalina 10.15.1.

The November 1, 2019 scan utility update does not fix the problem. PDF scans only one page and then fails to scan a second page.

The New December updates for the scanner software and driver fix the problems ... as long as the older versions of the software on your Mac are removed/deleted. I had to manually remove the files from my system as the Canon install applications did not remove all of the older versions. Once the older versions are removed, the December updates fixed the multi-page scanning issue.

Hi, where can I find the latest version which fixes scanning and printing issues with mac os catalina? My canon is mx925

Thankyou for posting. I used your suggestion in order to use the scan utility again following the Catalina release with my MG printer/scanner. I am surprised Canon do not make users aware they can use the updated software with other of their products on a Mac.

Totally worked for Pixma MG5520 with Mac OS Catalina !!! First I tried updating from Canon but new November 2019 software didn't fix the problem.  Then I found this solution.  Downloaded the UK utility and now I can easily scan multiple page documents.  Thanks

This worked beautifully for my Pixma MG7720, after spending all morning trying to access support (couldn't) and downloading drivers and software. Thanks!
