To save money, I drilled holes in the see-through ink containers in my Canon 5700 series printer. This resulted in plenty of warning messages that finally allowed me to disable the ink level warnings.
I then drilled holes in the nearly empty ink wells and filled them with appropriate Cartridge World black ink and taped up the holes. All went well for 2000 copies. Now the printer doesn't print properly.
Does anyone know how I can fix this problem while continuing to refil the ink wells.

You drilled holes in your ink tanks and are now puzzled why your printer doesn't work properly any more.
Suggest you use some of the money you thought you might save to buy new OEM ink tanks.
You'll get the same advice from Canon if you call them too.
