I have a printer mp830 with the message release scanner lock switch

Hi,please help me to resolve this problem I'm a month already whit this problem.

Hi elzambo,

 

To try and resolve the error, please turn off the printer, then follow these steps before turning the printer back on:

 

  1. Lift the document cover open.

  2. Slide the scanner lock switch to the release mark.



  3. Close the document cover.

  4. Press <ON/OFF> to turn off the machine.

  5. Wait approximately 5 seconds then press <ON/OFF> to power back on the printer.

If you still experience the error, the printer will require servicing.  Please call or email us at one of the methods on the Contact Us page to obtain your servicing options.

I still experience the same problem,maybe need servicing.
