How do you scan a pdf document using the MG2922

I can't figure out how to scan documents using the printer. I placed the document on the glass but when I hit the black button it copies it. I have an MG2922.

Hello.

To scan with the unit, use our IJ Scan Utility program on your computer.  The "Document" option in the program can be used to scan PDF files.  Additional settings can be specified in the "Settings" menu of the program.
