How are we suppose to find Canon Printer Support when the site is dead?

I have tried repeatedly to contact support since my MG2522 printer up and died on me. I need to send it in for a replacement, but not only are all sites down for customer support, but even their phone contact support hard-line is down!

Doesn't do much to have a warranty department when a customer cannot get in touch with anyone there of course.

Does anyone know how one might proceed to get their printer returned and replaced?

Thanks in advance. Only helpful advice is requested please.

Well maybe send them $20 million so they can pay the ransom on their encryption attack. Garmon paid their $10 million last week, so maybe Canon will pony up to the Russians and pay their extortion fees this week so you can get warranty service again.

tldr; Canon has bigger problems today in comparison to your dead printer. Maybe they'll be able to help you next week.

All due respect but is there something ineligible about "only helpful replies please?"

If that is too hard to understand PLEASE read the user license agreement, thank you.

This is not the part of the forum where teenagers get to post opinionated comments.

That was a 100% helpful response you pompous ingrate.

THE SITE IS DOWN DUE TO MALWARE ENCRYPTION ATTACKS ON CANON.

What more do you need to know to understand that you can't get onto their websites (at that time)?  Call the Canon 1=800 support line listed clearly with the supplied documentation in any Canon printer.

Hello - I am sorry about your issue. I am having hte same issue. I can't get a hold of customer support online, or on the phone. Their site is down on every page I click on the support site. Have you found any way to get customer support on the phone? I am trying to resolve an issue with my printer where it is leaving streaks across my page when I print on paper that is 60lb.  I have had the print for about 3 months. This hasn't been an issue with the same exact paper until now.

Have you tried oepning the "Canon Quick Menu" then find and click on the select menu in the very corner of the app, then open "Diagnose and Repair Printer" from the pop up menu. Hoepfully thoe direections are the came on yours as mine.

In that menu, there are two options you can use for this problem.  Either "Troubleshoot" your printer and go through the necessary steps to clean the heads and troubleshoot any other possible problems, or you can Repair the printer to see what it says. See if that helps and if not, open a fresh new ticket on the forums here for your own ticket, and have them help you with the problem.

Hope that helps.

Did you get it directly from Canon, or from someone else (eg. OfficeMax, Walmart). If not from Canon, you might be able to trade it in, depending on length of time you've had it.

I didn't get it from Canon directly. I got it from a photo and print store in NY and ordered online. I am trying to see if they can have a product specialist help me but no luck so far. I don't necessarily know if I need to trade it in but I need someone from customer support to help. I can't get a hold of anyone on phone, online or even at my local Canon store in my city. Every site is down.

Does anyone know how to get a hold of someone if I want to trade in for warranty it's impossible - the site doesn't even work.

I have only had this printer for 3 months and it just started happening this week.

Thanks but no, I got it from Walmart but its way past their return window. Actually it is one year on the 11th of this month and I was wondering if they shut down just to avoid replacing my printer. haha

Hi djd103,

You are correct, the web site is currently unavailable, but you can call 1-800-OK-CANON to speak with a Technical Support Representative via phone.
