Grayscale setting is printing color MG 7720

Hi,

I'm using a Canon MG 7720 on a Mac (OS X El Capitan 10.11.6)

I'm trying to print black and white (by using grayscale). This has worked in the past, but for some reason it's not printing with shades of color for both PDFs and Word Docs.

Any suggestions on what the issue may be? I hope the situation is clear, please let me know if any more information is helpful. Thanks.

Best,

J

Hi jsenno,

First, let's make sure that your PIXMA MG7720 is working correctly.  To do this, please load letter-sized paper in the PIXMA MG7720 and follow these steps:

 1.  Flick the HOME screen and then tap Setup on your PIXMA MG7720.

 2.  Tap Maintenance.

 3.  Tap Print nozzle check pattern.

 4.  Tap Yes.

The Nozzle Check will print.  Please compare your printout to the example that has been attached to the bottom of this message.

Does the Nozzle Check print correctly?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I printed out the Nozzle Check and it matches the colors of the image. What do you suggest next?

See if message 9 in this string helps.

Do you mean "now printing color" instead of "not printing color".

Yes, sorry. I meant it is now printing color.
