Getting smudged envelopes

I have a Canon Printer MG7120 and I'm running Windows 7.  Whenever I try to print an envelope (nearly always #10) I get smudges.

Hi shirlcl,

You can set the prevent paper abrasion setting on the printer to try and prevent the smudges on the envelopes.  To do this, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure that the machine is turned on.

2. Select SETUP on the HOME screen.

3. Select DEVICE SETTINGS, then touch the OK button. The Device settings screen is displayed.

4. Use the arrow buttons to select PRINT SETTINGS, then touch the OK button. The setting screen for the selected item is displayed.

5. Use the arrow buttons to select PREVENT PAPER ABRASION, then touch the OK button.

6. Use the arrow buttons to select ON, then touch the OK button.

Once the prevent paper abrasion setting is turned on, please attempt to print the envelopes again. Please be sure to set the prevent paper abrasion setting back to OFF after printing the envelopes, since it may result in lower printing speed or quality when it is turned on.

Hope this helps!
