This has happened intermittently several times to users in my family.
Send a PDF to print, nothing comes out. Cancel print job and send again. Mac printer queue endlessly says it is looking for the printer.
Pressing the power button on the printer does not turn it off. I need to hold the button for ~ 5 seconds and then the printer will shut off after terminating some internal function. When the printer is turned back on, it works normally.
They are using the Google Docs PDF viewer. Would switch them to Adobe Reader, but they use Google Docs, which uses Google PDF viewer for it's print preview function. Does not seem to occur when printing Word documents, etc.
