Drivers for PIXMA MX452 on macOS Catalina

CanonJSteven

We purchased a PIXMA MX452 printer in 2013.  It is now out of warranty.  We purchased a new Mac Book Air computer last week and were surprised that the Mac could only print in black and white. No other settings. The Canon website shows that there are no drivers for the Catalina macOS installed on our new computer.  What do we do?  We are anxious to print in grayscale and color.  Also to scan documents.   Surprised that a 6 1/2 year old printer is no longer supported.  Would drivers for another printer work?

Greetings,

Its not possble for all products to be supported indefinitely.  Its also possible that the hardware is not compatible with the new software standards Apple created when it implemented 64bit only support in Catalina OS.

The MX 452 is still supported under other operating systems.  Please note, drivers for another printer model will not work.

I've sold my house and am moving back to my vacation cabin and just realized that My Pixma MX452 doesn't work with my MacBook Pro running Catalina. Any chance I can get the upgrade discount?

It really is a shame that this won't work. Any possibility of a new drivers? If not, do you take back old printers for recycling?

SIncerely,

Richard D.

Hi,

I just got a MacOS Catalina system and MX452 is not compatible as I discovered. Am I eligible to turn in my printer for another with any discount?  Thanks Pat
