Canon MX922 Paper Jams inside of Rear Transport Unit Cover

WTS

Fifty percent of the time my MX922 would would leave an 8.5x11 piece of paper inside of the rear cover to the transport unit.  It has given me a couple of differeent error messages, but basically it tells me that there is no paper in the paper tray or to turn off the machine and turn it back on.  What I really need to do is to turn off the machine, remove the rear cover to the transport unit, pull out the paper wrapped around the transport unit, and reverse the operation and restart the machine.  The machine has also exhibited unusual noise and long runs of resetting the machine before it's ready for printing.

I hope one of you had fixed this problem to your printer.  If not, where can I bring the machine in for servicing?  I brought it to a printer repair shop in San Diego, but they were of no help.

Hello, WTS!

So that the Community can help you better, it is helpful to know the exact error messages you're seeing, and the Computer Operating System you're using (Windows Vista/7/8/10 or macOS 10.x), as well as the way you connect to your device (USB or networked via WiFi or Ethernet). It's also helpful to know what software you're using to print - are you using AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, the Canon printer drivers, Office, Chrome, Internet Explorer/Edge, Safari, etc. Have you installed the software that came with your printer?

Any other details you'd like to give will only help the Community better understand your issue!

Thank you.  Isn't this problem related more with the mechanical functioning of the printer rather than the software?
