Can I set an MX452 multifunction printer to default to 'copy' mode after a period of no use?

Is there a way to set the MX452 so that it defaults back to copy mode after a certain period?  Scenario:  I scan a document and forget to set the function back to 'Copy'.  Someone else comes along and wants to make a copy, doesn't look at the settings, and it begins scanning.  They have to stop the operation & start over.

Thanks.

Hi HPGLinda,

There is not a way to have the printer revert to the COPY setting after scanning has been performed from the operation panel; however, if the printer is in the COPY mode and you initiate the scan from your computer, when scanning is finished, the printer will go back to the COPY mode automatically.  When initiating the scan from the printer itself, you would need to press the COPY button once you are done scanning for it to go into that mode.

Hope this helps!
