CLI-251XL BK yield

Questions
Apprentice
Hi, I was searching around and found this Canon Knowledge Base article that gives the yield for CLI-251XL BK: https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=FAQ100343 It says 5350 pages... I just want to confirm, that's not a typo, is it? I understand that being dye ink it should last longer but it seems like quite a lot. Especially since it is only 11 ml, and the 7 ml version only offers 1645. By my math, that seems to mean roughly (significant rounding here) 5 ml are unusable, and the XL has 6 ml of usable ink, and the "standard" has 2 ml of usable ink. Thanks!

Hi,

The number stated is correct.  The CLI-251XL BK ink is only used during photo prints and when performing duplex printing.
